A shivering, sweet pittie was found in the woods, absolutely terrified of humans until she met someone willing to take a little time to get to know her better.
Her rescuer Audray heard the dog by the freeway and she thought the dog had been hit by a car. She went down in search of the dog right away after hearing the pup.
She set up a dog crate to try and rescue the dog, bringing out food and water to entice her into the crate, getting the poor pup to safety.
The Rescue
It took putting food and water out for her for over 3 weeks before she was actually able to get her inside the crate, and start the scared pup’s official rescue mission.
Audray named the pup Daisy as she was rescued, and Daisy began her journey to finally start trusting humans again.
The change in temperament took time, as Daisy was initially quite scared of humans. But as she settled into her rescue, Daisy became an absolute cuddle bug!
Once she met a few canine pals, it didn’t take long for her to start warming up to dogs around her. She quickly became BFF’s with another pittie in the rescue while waiting for a foster home to take her in.
Daisy Gets Fostered
It didn’t take long for her to find a foster family to start caring for her. Once she was in foster, she made herself right at home making new canine friends at the foster with a German Shepherd, while she learned to trust humans once again.
After meeting and greeting a few different potential owners, she was finally able to find her furever home. Daisy is now happy, healthy and completely loved by her new owner!
